the #1 reason why you're getting ghosted

I nearly failed my job interview.

And I started listing out my achievements one by one, until the hiring manger interrupted me.

And that was precisely why I always failed.

He said:

“Stop, I don’t care about everything you’ve ever done. Tell me something relevant to the position, please.”

I quickly pivoted to a more concise, relevant answer that engineered:

1. serendipity

2. memorability

3. likability

I got the job! 🥳 

Fundamentally, early-mid stage startup founders care about 2 big things: passion and potential.

You need to market yourself as a high value professional (HVP) who falls in love with the problem they are trying to solve and who has the power to build with them.

To avoid getting ghosted, I highly recommend branding yourself as an HVP, where you become so good they can’t ignore you 😉 

To brand yourself as an HVP, follow these steps below in order:

1. Discover your differentiators and gain experience to become a hire they can’t refuse

2. Know your story that captures passion and potential

3. Optimize and crystallize your visibility
