☀️ MY STORY

i used to feel really insecure i didn’t go to a “top school”.

but for financial reasons

i chose to go to a cheaper, smaller liberal arts school

was the career center and networking opportunities top tier?

it probably was not

but, i gained something else instead…

resilience.

the importance of this skill magnified (only the real ones get this joke) when i joined the Bay Area Global Health Challenge, a business competition for health technology solutions.

out of thousands of applications, the judges and advisors chose the Magnify Wellness team to compete against literal phds.

on pitch day, teams were split into separate rooms and judged accordingly.

we got into a room with a stanford medicine phd students.

and we beat them.

ultimately, we ended up becoming a top 6 world finalist.

so, who says that you can’t do big things because you

  • go to a no name school

  • less than ideal gpa

  • no internships

you aren’t doomed.

you are only doomed if you don’t make a move. ♟️
